The Next Afghan Challenge Begins Tomorrow


One lucky person will be randomly selected to receive a Fully Loaded Red Heart Yarn bags compliments of Red Heart and The Crochet Crowd

The Crochet Crowd begins another afghan challenge starting tomorrow, April 15th, 2014. This afghan will go quickly and is not an afghan that needs to be pieced together at the end.

If you are up for a challenge to make a cheerful project for spring… this may be it. Stay tuned tomorrow afternoon 2pm EST for the release of the next challenge. A fully loaded Red Heart Yarn Bag with Crochet Crowd Gifts will be awarded to one lucky person who completes the challenge!

Materials List

  • 4.5 mm or G-6 US Crochet Hook.
  • Yarn Suggested by Red Heart recommends Super Saver or Red Heart With Love using 1 ball each of 7 different colours. As with all of our challenges, you can substitute the yarn and/or use as many or as little colours as you prefer.

    i started the happy hearts one and made a rookie mistake…made all my squares then when i went to put them together, because of the diffirent types wool i was using, they were too much of diffirent sizes, have kept them though, will use them for something

    Hi Mikey & Diva Dan,
    We were away for the weekend & now , I have to catch up on your posts. A new afghan challenge. I’m ready & waiting!
    I sure do not know what I’m doing wrong w/little sweetie dress. I’m careful to count each row of stitches for yoke & still come out wrong. This is very frustrating. Think I will lock myself in bedroom in listen to the tutorial for the 1,000 time.

  15. Cool, I just purchased yarn this weekend. May need to add to it if I think I want to do all 7 colors or I may stay with 4. I’ll be waiting patiently.
    Making sure there will be nothing on my to do list for tomorrow so I can play and watch the challenge video.
    This will be my first challenge to try. Hope I have learned enough over the last few months to do the challenge justice.
    Thanks for all your inspiration and your fabulous videos. I really have surpassed what I thought I would be able to do in the art of crocheting in just the last few months.
    Can’t wait Mikey to see what you have for us.

  28. I’m excited! My husband’s birthday is in June and I am making this one his birthday gift. (He thinks I’m just doing the challenge 😃) I’ve made all my children throws so he is the only one left to make one for. My yarn isn’t here yet, but I’ll watch the video tomorrow anyway to see what it will look like. Can’t wait!!! Always look forward to Tuesdays!! (Can’t wait to see what we are doing to our creature tomorrow too!😜)
