You will not believe your eyes on the Schachenmayr Regia Yarn. This is called Fluormania.

Fluormania Yarn by Regia
Diva Dan has been bugging me about this yarn. He’s been raving about the colourlines of being bold, beautiful and florescent. To satisfy his curiousity, we decided to get a couple samples of the yarn for a first hand look at it. Can I say STUNNING? Absolutely gorgeous in person. These beautiful photos totally do it justice!
As you probably know, hints of florescent are currently in trend. No… we are not having an 80’s revival where everything we wear is to be bright. It’s about having accessories that pop! This yarn definitely pops my mind wide open.
The yarn is comprised of 75% virgin wool and 25% Polyamide. It feels exquisite. They are machine washable and you can tumble dry in a dryer.
You won’t find these types of yarns in major big box retailers. You need to support your local mom and pop yarn shoppes for this. This is under the Schachenmayr name. Chances are if your local yarn shop carries Schachenmayr, they will either have this yarn or can get it. You can always search online as it is available for purchase online. Schachenmayr doesn’t sell to consumers directly. You can use the store locator on their website to find stores in your area that may have this yarn in stock.
This yarn is brand new as of February 2014. If the stores aren’t carrying this item yet, just ask them to look into it for you.
Though you never asked me, the Neon Flower, Neon Berry and Neon Leaf are my favourites in this collection. Discover this new yarn!
Mikey: If you haven’t yet tried Seattle’s Little Knits’ website, you should check it out. They often have sock yarn on sale and I believe they carry several lines from this company. They have frequent sales and on larger orders offer free shipping or shipping discounts. I’ve ordered from they about a dozen times and am always happy with the price and quality of the yarns I buy and the customer service received. Happy Hooking.
I found this yarn at yarn.com. Cheapest I’ve found so far. Can’t wait!!
I have no idea how much this yarn would cost (I would have to drive about an hour to get to the nearest yarn store that has this) but this seems like great yarn to try entrelac with. I think alternate this with black and it would make a super cheery winter afghan.
Yarn.com for $16.95
Ouch! A little pricey.
I can only hope, since Schachenmayr is one of the sponsors of the 2015 cruise, that we’ll get some of this fab-looking yarn!
Hi! I love the colors! Herrschners is now carrying some of this brand yarn. I have one of the sock looms that I still can’t seem to master. Now I may have to give it another try. Did you delete all of your loom tutorials Mikey?
I also am interested in some nice crochet sock patterns of medium weight.
OMG!! I would SO wear socks made from those colors, Specially the ones that have Purple!! All I have to do now is learn to make socks, Heheheheh 😀
OMG!! I love those colors, and I would SO wear socks like that!! all I have to do now is learn how to make my own socks !!! 😀
These colors are gorgeous! Can you direct us to some good patterns for “everyday” socks (meaning lighter-weight socks to be worn with shoes)? As the weather gets warmer (I’m in Texas) it will be uncomfortable to sit with half an afghan on my lap so I plan to crochet socks for next winter and do other smaller projects.
I do not think this product is sold in canada
This must have been out a little while longer in the UK as my mum bought me some for Christmas as I was just learning to crochet. It really is beautiful, but I have no idea what to make with it so it’s still sitting in my cupboard.
Thanks for telling me about this yarn will make cool socks … will send pictures when finished – happy stitching
