Free Ball Winding Services Available at Creativ Festival

Creativ Festival, The Crochet Crowd

Free Yarn Winding Service Available Creativ Festival

While at Creativ Festival on October 25 – 27th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building – Hall D, The Crochet Crowd is offering complimentary yarn winding to all guests of Creativ Festival.

We will have a section of our exhibit dedicated with yarn swifts and hand cranking ball winders set up for all guests to use.

Like a mall has complimentary gift wrapping at Christmas time, I felt it would be great if there was a section at Creativ Festival where you can wind up your hanks into ready to use balls of yarn.

We will have a volunteer to show you how to get started and then you can wind up the hanks you have purchased at the show to manageable balls so you can start your projects either in the car ride home or at your leisure.

This is a DIY Section of our display. Shop to you drop and then come back to our booth to wind up your gorgeous hanks into balls.

For those interested, we will have a limited number of extra ball winders and yarn swifts on hand for purchase. We will be offering an incredible show deal. There is no pressure or obligation to buy. Our services are complimentary on behalf of Creativ Festival.

Great thinking on this Mikey. I’ve not been to a any kind of fiber festival or convention yet but this is something they all really need to think about having even if it’s a HUGE section just dedicated to ball winding services.

What a great idea. I wish I was going to the Festival so I could use this service.

First I wish I could attend the Festival. Second – what a freakin’ fantastic idea to offer access to ball winder for yarn purchased. I own a winder and love that yarn is much easier to store once wound. You also won’t experience “yarn babies” in the midst of your project! My local yarn store offers access to their winder when you purchase it from them. Love it!
