Magic Knitted Scarf – The Crochet Crowd

Hot off my knitting needles and crochet hook is my new Magic Knitted Scarf Pattern. I wrote out the pattern so you can share in my pattern with you. Of course, like always, it’s a free pattern. It’s nothing elaborate as the yarn color changes are creating the trendy look on it’s own.

Magic Knitted Scarf Pattern

Free Pattern for this fabulously delicious knitted scarf with crochet border trims.

I had a fan, Edwina, show me how to knit with giving me some pointers. With the new found knowledge, I was so excited that I started this scarf right away. The amazing thing about this scarf is that all the colours you see are in 1 ball of yarn. No cut strings or anything. It’s the secret of Red Heart Boutique Magical Yarn.

I bought this yarn in a different color. I love the textures and colors, but I have a question. Did your scarf roll before you did the edging? And is it narrower where the green is? I hope it will lay flat after it is blocked.

(I wrote this in the comments under the scarf and hope you find it here or there).

    • Once I blocked it… it does sit flat. That was really important for me. Nothing worse than a scarf that won’t behave itself.

Thanks so much for your response. I love the yarn (I bought purple) but didn’t like the curl. I wonder how it would turn out in garter stitch. Then there would be no wrong side. I might have to try that; I can always rip! I am enjoying your site. I made the Lazy Waves and I would love to try the Juicy Fruits…some day!

Now you need to do the same scarf using Tunisian Knit Stitch and show everyone the same look done as crochet! Just kidding – I don’t wish repeating a project on anyone. 🙂 It’s a beautiful scarf, Mikey!

Beautiful…I am off to look for that wonderful yarn….
