Meet our New Crochet Crowd Intern

Social Media, Ian M.

Ian, our New Crochet Crowd Intern

A fresh new face joins me here at The Crochet Crowd Studio, meet Ian.

Ian is here back home, in Walkerton, on summer break from college. He is studying journalism and is maintaining a fabulous blog called Crazy Wicked Awesome. He has developed and is maintaining a 24-7 online radio station featuring indie artists.

He has completed a year of broadcasting for radio, TV and film. He understands the social media element of reaching an audience and the importance of online community development. You can tell by speaking with him that he researches, examines and is excited by social media engagement. He is extremely up-to-date on social media in general, even beyond what I know.

Ian’s age comes as a bonus for being open minded and knowledgeable about new media platforms. He is funny with a dry sense of humour. He took the time to research me and use his investigative skills to see how he can contribute to The Crochet Crowd without knowing exactly what I needed him to do. That impressed me greatly.

Ian will be joining Cathy, Daniel and I in ensuring we keep The Crochet Crowd active and engaging. I hope that he becomes my teacher while I show him how to be a successful Social Media Director in return.

Please welcome Ian to the team.

About Mikey, The Crochet Crowd

I am Mikey, owner of The Crochet Crowd Blog. I'm a 'hooker' at heart with the passion to crochet. I am from Ontario Canada and teach how to crochet online through YouTube Video Tutorials. From a simple idea and being at the right place and time in my life back in 2008, the concept of The Crochet Crowd was developed. I'm here to hook and share. Come follow my crochet journey and share yours with comments here and you are most welcome to share your creativity within our Facebook page.
