In an announcement officially presented to employees on Saturday, December 3, 2011. Spinrite LP announced they have acquired Caron International. When I heard the news I was really excited for Spinrite and what opportunities are ahead.
Spinrite is one of two companies where I am allowed to film patterns that appear in magazines, books and online publications that are under their branding. Receiving filming rights is a hard thing to achieve as other major brands have denied or ignored my request. This is the reason why the majority of patterns will link back to a Bernat / Patons and/or Sugar’n Cream Patterns. This acquisition opens up new opportunities for me on a teaching level by expanding working materials and patterns that are allowed to be filmed and shared with my audience.
Spinrite’s generosity has been a key ingredient for me to be able to expand my tutorial teachings in the year of 2011, when filming permission was granted in late 2010. Our relationship has allowed me inside knowledge on teaching methods with key educators at Spinrite. I get an advanced look at materials coming ahead so I can plan ideas and tutorials around them too.
I look forward to adding Caron brand yarns to my tutorials and patterns associated to them.
