From the sidelines CEO’s and important decision makers are watching, yes, even watching our channel because they want to know what makes it work.
There have been received emails and posted comments in various places about The Crochet Crowd and affiliated websites that I am participating with. I have started doing product reviews, book reviews, and various of different crafting tutorials. My purpose of the Crafting / Product Reviews is about consumer education. Next time a consumer sees in a store, they know a bit more about the product. For many, it’s about making an “Informed Decision”.
One thing that has been noticed is the heavy mix of tutorials with product reviews in the same channel. Product reviews for the majority are being perceived as sales pitches instead of it’s intended meaning.
I participate in a conglomerate of many different channels as I wear different hats in each channel. In a recent conference call, I put my viewer’s concerns on the table to seek resolution. It didn’t take more than 30 seconds for everyone in the round table to agree and create a change.
Effective today, you will no longer see my product reviews appear on the Tutorial How To Channels. They are still being done but will be uploaded to other channels. The videos are linked to websites and if the public wants to know more about crafting products, they can subscribe to those channels or take a peak at any time.
