Hand-Crochet Cowl Pattern & New Yarn by Red Heart Boutique

Hand Crocheted Cowl Pattern

New Yarn by Red Heart Boutique called Dash. Super thick and fabulous.

Introducing a brand new yarn that I haven’t seen in person yet. It’s called Dash and it’s by Red Heart Boutique.

See all the Colours of this New Yarn.

This yarn comes in a hank instead of a traditional yarn ball. It’s meant for ultra thick knitting needles or crochet hooks. You could finger knit or hand crochet using your own hands instead of a hook too.

Check out this free pattern called Hand-Crochet Cowl Crochet Pattern. I can’t wait to see this new yarn in person.

As with any new yarn that comes to market, it will take time for this yarn to hit a yarn store near you. You can always order it online at RedHeart.com if you really love it and don’t want to wait for a local retailer to decide if they want to stock it.

I would also like to have some tips on working with this yarn. Tried the pattern and it doesn’t work for me. I would really appreciate any help.

Could someone give me some tips on making this scarf? Love it and not a crocheter, but have watched some videos showing chain and single crochet and I’m not getting the same results. Could someone offer me some tips—or video–been looking for it but can’t seem to come up with one. Many thanks for any help and suggestions for my simple mind!

The pattern does work. Try watching some basic learn to crochet videos. I struggled too at first. You make a chain of 4 loops then crochet into the first 3 loops, make a single chain then crochet into 3 chains each row until you have used the yarn. To crochet into each chain (loop) you pull the yarn through the chain, then pull it through the loop you just made then pull a 3rd loop through both loops, that is one crochet stitch. Then onto the next crochet stitch in the next chain. Then STRETCH the scarf to get the length!
